At 1430 OxSAR were called out by Thames Valley Police to assist in the search for a vulnerable missing female aged 75, with suspected dementia from Abingdon.

OxSAR's search controllers deployed over 25 volunteers from OxSAR, SEBEV (Berks), BSAR (Bucks), BCLSD (Bucks and Chiltern Dogs) and BSARD (Berkshire Dogs).

For nearly four hours they searched front and back gardens, woodland and waterways near the place the missing person was last seen.

At 20.10 a foot team advised search control that the missing person had been found in a lake. Search control informed the Police, shortly after this the search was stood down.
